Offense-Specific Evaluations
Psychological testing may be desired for any number of difficulties. Testing in Progress, LLC offers specialized evaluations for adults who are under the purview of the criminal justice system for sexual misconduct. Offense-specific or psychosexual evaluations are often requested by the Courts, probation departments, or legal counsel to assist in identifying and understanding sexual behaviors and misconduct. These evaluations are used to help in determining a person's level of risk and present treatment options. An evaluation can also identify secondary issues for the client, such as alcohol/substance abuse, unresolved trauma, or mood disorders. Evaluations generally require five to eight hours to complete and may be done over the course of one or several days. The evaluations include an in-depth clinical interview, paper-and-pencil tests, and the Abel Assessment for Sexual Interest (AASI-2). The cost for an Offense-Specific or Psychosexual Evaluation is $1200. There is an additional $150 fee to review a significant amount of collateral information (multiple polygraph reports, previous evaluations, treatment reports, etc.).
